The Lucia Quesadilla children’s book was/is a creative outlet for myself as a children’s book illustrator and author.  We all have those pet projects we work on for a bit and then put away for years, only to dig it out and work on here and there. At the time of starting this story, I had a very picky toddler who would only eat cheese quesadillas. This story is about the journey Lucia took from only eating cheese quesadillas to trying new food and realizing that there was life outside of eating the same meal every day.  Someday I may finish Lucia Quesadilla. But for now, I have enjoyed the creative outlet of character development and scene design and creation.
